BASIC FIRST AID 
ASHI Basic First Aid was created to help students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond.  The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is consistent with recommendations of the 2015 National First Aid Science Advisory Board and OSHA’s best practices for first aid training programs in the workplace.

Intended Audience:
Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills including:

CPR & AED
​ASHI CPR & AED is a combined CPR and AED program designed specifically for laypeople. The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is based upon the 2015 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR) and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.

Intended Audience:
Individuals who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to have CPR knowledge & skills, such as:

 •  Emergency Response Teams
 •  School Bus Drivers
 •  Adult Residential Care Staff
 •  Child Care Workers
 •  Teachers
 •  Parents
 •  Coaches
 •  Babysitters

Course Length:  3-4 Hours
Course Tuition (per person): 
$30 Adult Only CPR
$35 Adult, Child, Infant CPR

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS
​American Safety & Health Institute's Bloodborne Pathogens program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1920.1030).

Intended Audience:
Any individual or employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties.

Course Length: 3-4 Hours
Course Tuition: $35 per person
Certification Length:  2 Years

​BLS CPR (Basic Life Support)
Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI's BLS CPR for the Professional Rescuer has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

Intended Audience:
American Safety & Health Institutes CPR for the Professional Rescuer program is designed for individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training.

Course Length:  4-5 Hours
Course Tuition:  $50 per person
Certification Length: 2 Years

PEDIATRIC PLUS CPR & FIRST AID
​Medic First Aid Pediatric Plus CPR, AED, and First Aid training programs provide an ideal training solution for schools, child care providers, youth sports coaches, foster care and others required to learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving children. This versatile program is based upon the 2015 CPR and First Aid Guidelines, Caring for Our Children, 3rd Ed; and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.

Intended Audience:
Individuals who are required to be certified in Pediatric Plus CPR and First Aid.

This course includes the stickers by the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA).

Course Length:  8 Hours
Course Tuition:  $65 per person

CHILD & BABYSITTING SAFETY
​The Child and Babysitting Safety training program is designed to focus on supervising, caring for, and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting settings. The program provides fundamental information in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and responding properly to ill or injured children or infants.

Intended Audience:
Young people (11 to 16 years old) who are interested in providing babysitting services for family or as a business.  Course does not include two-year certification for first aid.

Course Length:  3 Hours
Course Tuition: $25 per person
Certification:  Child & Babysitting Safety (ASHI)

WILDERNESS FIRST AID
​Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban environment. With ASHI’s Wilderness First Aid, instructors certified to teach CPR/AED, basic first aid, and have wilderness experience can take advantage of ASHI’s flexible instructional design.

This comprehensive 16-20 hour course meets the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid curriculum and guidelines.

Course content includes:

• Preparation and Assessment
• Preventing and Caring for Injuries
• Environmental Hazards
• Biological Hazards
• Medical Emergencies

CPR/AED certification (optional)

Intended Audience:
Individuals who require or desire first aid knowledge and skills in a wilderness setting:

  • Boy Scout Leaders and Scouts
  • Girl Scout Leaders and Scouts
  • Search & Rescue Personnel
  • Parks & Rangers Personnel
  • Hikers, Bikers & Joggers

Course Length:  16-20 Hours
Course Tuition: $130 per person
Certification Length:  2 Years

Minimum of 10 students required to schedule off-site.

If CPR/AED certification not required, the tuition cost is only $95.00.  Certification for Adult, Child, Infant CPR and AED needs to be registered before the course begins.  

This class is provided in an outdoor environment and includes hands on scenario practice skills.

Recommended for age 14 years and up.



COMBO CPR & FIRST AID
​ASHI CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combination training was created to allow instructors an easy option for their students seeking a comprehensive training class. The program helps develop CPR & basic first aid knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond. CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combination training is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is consistent with recommendations of the 2015 National First Aid Science Advisory Board and OSHA’s best practices for first aid training programs in the workplace.

Intended audience:
Individuals who are required to have CPR, AED, & First Aid knowledge and skills; including but not limited to the same individuals needing CPR and AED or Basic First Aid by itself.

Course Length:  4-5 Hours
Course Tuition: $50 per person
